Crisis Hotline Specialist Training

Learn the skills necessary to become a Hotline Specialist, active listening skills, intervention techniques, special situations, etc. or take the course to enhance your personal lives as well the lives of others.
Have you wanted to help, volunteer or make a difference and you weren't exactly sure how? Take this course and learn some great skills, from active listening to actual crisis intervention techniques and learn how to apply them either on the Hotline as a Specialist or within your own daily lives. The course teaches techniques that will provide a solid foundation to de-escalate many situations we encounter.
We will have special guest speakers sharing information about their field of expertise, as well have an opportunity to hear from members of the amazing team of volunteers who currently serve on the Hotline.
We are grateful for the sponsorship of Hailey Rotary and Limelight Ketchum, allowing The Crisis Hotline to offer the training FREE to the public.
This training* is part of the required training necessary to become a Hotline Specialist; but your attendance does not guarantee your commitment to become a Hotline Specialist.
*min. 24 total hours of attendance is required for consideration to become a Specialist.
This class will be offered primarily every Wednesday in March and April from 6-9pm, with make-up dates tbd scheduled for limited Saturdays.
